I hockey skated for 6 years to do Sharp Turns you must Cut into the Ice wich will Absolutely Destroy the Panels.

What about hockey stops where you're shaving ice on the edges of your blade? How does that work on this surface?
you probably would mess it up in time
You cant do anythung which requires shaving ice or things like a lutz which requires using a toe pick
How well would this work for goalies?
Jacob Brewer I know it's a late response but I have had this product for months. Here are my thoughts: -It feels just like ice if you purchase silicon lubricant from home depot. However, it will make your pads smell unless u get a pad over. -It dulls your skate fast. What I did helped. I ordered another set of blades: one for ice and one for synthetic ice. I also got an $80 pro filer handheld sharpener. Overall, it works fabulous if you're willing to spend some bucks.
SuntannedFish9: You may want to try for "Food Grade" silicones or "release agents" for the surface to reduce the ordor issue....glade your enjoying it!....DM me at PolyGlide Ice on facebook when you get a chance!
....also: Be sure to use a quality blade on your skates to hold the edge and try a deeper hollow 1-size down on your next cut to hold your edge a little longer (EX: Normal edge 5/8....synthteic edge 1/2")
